Thanks to everyone who supported our sign topper project! The Elmwood Neighborhood has successfully completed the second phase of its sign topper project. The Old Oak Cliff Conservation League provided a $1,000 grant to support this project and the neighborhood matched those funds, raising an additional $1,000. Dr. Larry Konnerman of the Edgefield Animal Clinic provided a matching grant of $250 to help the association complete the fund raising, and we offer him a special thank you for his generous support.
The distinctive Elmwood sign toppers help create neighborhood pride and inform visitors that they are in our neighborhood. The Elmwood Neighborhood Association began to install the unique signs on the tops of street signs in the neighborhood a few years ago. The newest signs have been added along Edgefield Ave. through the center of the neighborhood and along the perimeter streets of Hampton, Illinois and Polk.
